      Thin glass figurals continued to be perfected in this decade and

some very elegant examples are seen on these trees. The tradition of

using glass beading on the tree becomes somewhat commonplace as

families attempted to fill in the large empty spaces with ornamentation.

Paper decorations continued to be favorites. Produced by a 24-color plate

process, these ornaments took on a three-dimensional effect, especially
